Six Mile Falls, Lakeside, Nova Scotia

This fall is located along the popular BLT rails to trails trail located in Lakeside. The fall is approximately 10 feet in height and falls at approximately 80 degrees. It can be viewed from the main trail.

Important Information – The sections of the BLT trail have been named. To reach this fall you want to start on Blue Jay Way which leads in Six Mile Falls Trail. The trail is maintained and gravel based. It is largely flat the entire way as well. Expect to walk 2.5kms one way from the parking lot to reach the falls and 5kms round trip.

Directions – These falls are located along a popular trail system. If you are leaving from Halifax, you will head towards Highway 103 (Fishermen’s Memorial Highway) on the edge of Bayer’s Lake. At the beginning of this highway you will enter into the community of Lakeside which is exit 2A leading you onto St. Margarets Bay Rd. (Highway 3) into Beechville. Following until you reach a right hand turn onto Lakeside Park Dr. The parking for the trailhead is on your left shortly after you turn. You will start from here on Blue Jay Way. From here walk straight 2.5kms and the falls will be on your right.
