This area of Slaty Brook drops multiple times and at different angles, straight and curved. The main and biggest falls are approx 15 feet in height and fall at an angle of approx 45 degrees. There are two equally sized and angled falls stacked on top of each other on an approx 90-degree turn. The river does not pool at there bases.
Important Information – These falls are located just outside of Enfield, NS in Monte Vista, NS. Simply across Shubenacadie Grand Lake. They are located off an old logging road a few hundred meters with no area to swim or jump. No real woods trail has been developed to the falls but the light deadfall and mossy ground make it easy to follow the river downstream to the falls. You will encounter multiple areas that drop the river lower and lower. Once you reach the top of the main falls area, venture down the there base and you’ll see another skinny fall feeding into the main river. The old logging road is off a logging road called Scott Paper Road which is the right turn heading uphill unpaved before the gated entrance with private property signs along Monte Vista Road. Driving up this logging road called Scott Paper Road until your third left. You will pass a Power Station on your left, a right turn option before the road turns approx 90 degrees to the left. Once you round this corner there will be a logging road to your left. Pass this option and head to the next logging road on your left. It is marked with flagging tape. It is wide open and has a small pond adjacent to it. You can walk or drive this road depending on the weather and if the road has flooded or not.
Directions – These falls are located just outside of Enfield, NS. If you are leaving from Halifax you will want to head towards Truro on Highway 102 (Veteran’s Memorial Highway) until Exit 7. Taking Exit 7 and turning right onto Highway 2. Driving past the big stop on your left continuing on Highway 2 until you reach a left-hand turn onto Old Enfield Road that has a Home Hardware present. Following Old Enfield Road across Highway 102 until you reach a left turn onto Renfrew Road. Follow Renfrew Road to a left turn onto Monte Vista Road. From here you will drive Monte Vista Road to the old logging road on your right before the gated entrance. Traveling uphill on an unpaved road until you reach the third option on your left. Parking or driving as far as you can down this old logging road. Once you have started walking on this old logging road you will walk straight passed the first area that gives you the option to turn right or left. Continuing straight until another junction that has an ATV trail on your left. Follow this ATV trail until you reach the main brook. Once you reach the brook you can choose to cross the brook or not. At this point, you want to turn left and head downstream to the falls.

Good evening. Thank you for the message. Waterways are not privately owned and any individual can use said waterways up to the high water line if surrounded by private property. The main access to these falls is however off old dirt roads that are owned by the province and maintained by the province. If I am incorrect about the old dirt roads, simply following the Brook upstream will become the new route of travel. Feel free to prove it is private property and I will do as you command. Furthermore, you might want to get in contact with the app “AllTrails”, website of “Geocaching”, website of “Trailpeak”, website of Mrmaps to continue your journey of the private property claim and removal of posts.
Goodluck
