Black Brook Falls, Garden Of Eden, Nova Scotia

A very short hike with a tough section down to reach a 40ft fan type waterfall dropping at multiple high angles just outside of Garden Of Eden, Nova Scotia.

Important Information – This waterfall is approx 40ft in height and it does not provide an opportunity to jump but you could easily swim at its base. The trail head is off Black Brook Road and is marked by two signed. The first sign is very easily visible while driving along the road in a tree and the second is approx 10ft into the trail which you can also see from the road but not as easily. The trail is 500ms round trip. It is a human trafficked trail so expect to walk on dirt/mud, tree roots, rocks and gravel. The middle portion of the trail for approx 20ms is a descent down into the ravine with ropes to aid you. Then you simply just walk upstream to the base of the falls.

Directions – This Waterfall is located just outside of Garden Of Eden, Nova Scotia along Black Brook Road. If you are travelling from Halifax you will want to jump on Highway 102 (Veteran’s Memorial Highway) towards Truro. Once you reach Truro you will take Exit 15W onto Highway 104 (Trans Canada Highway) towards Cape Breton. Following Highway 104 until you reach New Glasgow area and taking Exit 26. After taking Exit 26 you will turn right onto Highway 347 (Sherbrooke Rd) which you will follow all the way until you reach Black Brook Road on your left. Drive 4kms up Black Brook Road and you will see signage for the falls on your left. Park and head onto the trail which will give you a birds eye view of the falls on your right. Follow the trail straight until you reach the decline with ropes there to assist you down. Once down turn right and head upstream to the falls.
