This fall is a steep cascade approx. 30 feet in height falling around 60 degrees. It can be easily viewed just steps off the road. As it falls facing the road before funneling parallel to the road downstream. Water levels vary. The water was very light when I visited.
Important Information – The falls are located just feet off Glen Rd. in Salt Springs area to the right-hand side of the road when traveling from highway 4. Glen Rd. is driveable for all vehicles and easy to navigate. The falls are easily accessed by venturing down the side of the road to the river’s age for no more than 50 feet. You cannot swim or jump at the falls.
Directions – Located in Salt Springs area on Glen Rd. If you are traveling from Halifax, NS you will want to head towards Truro on Highway 102 (Veterans Memorial Highway). When you reach Truro, pass Truro and turn right at exit 15W onto Highway 104 (Trans Canada Highway). Driving the Trans Canada Highway until exit 18A on your right. At the end of the off-ramp of exit 18A turn left towards Highway 4 on (Pictou Rd. E). At the end of Pictou Rd. E turn right onto Highway 4. Following Highway 4 until you reach Glen Rd. on your left. You will reach the falls no more than 1km up Glen Road on your right.
