This look off is one of the best of the Bedford Basin and Halifax Harbour. Near the end of the basin located within Admiral cove Park. You can see for miles. Suggested visit times would be 24/7 but on a clear day, it makes for a fantastic place to endure the sunrise and sunset.

Important Information – This look off has a very steep fall of approx 100 feet at times so tread carefully while walking and viewing the harbour. It is a short drive to the trailhead located on Shore Dr. The trail itself is approx 800-900m walk. It is a basic trafficked vegetation path consisting mostly of dirt and rocks. The trail is not hard to walk, some hills are present but no incline lasts very long and is not steep. You can sit on the rock face or decide to sit on the boulder that rests atop the cliff face. Be aware of your surroundings as deer are commonly sighted in the area.
Directions – From downtown Halifax, you will head towards Bedford on the Bedford Highway (Highway). Traveling along the water continue on this road until you reach a right-hand turn onto Shore Dr. This turn has you go down a small hill under a bridge. At the base of the hill, you will turn left. Follow Shore drive almost to its end, which is a Cul De Sac. The right-hand bend at the top of the slowly declining straight away down to the Cul De Sac is where the trailhead is located on your left-hand side of the road. It is unmarked although a sign from the municipality is present near the trailhead but the path is carved out clearly. Park your vehicle on the side of the road right by the trailhead. Be aware of the fire hydrate present beside the trailhead. You will enter the trailhead that is on the right-hand side of this fire hydrate when facing the woods, closest to the Cul De Sac.
