This is a single fall located just minutes outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The fall itself is approx 10-15 feet high and falls at an angle of approx 60 degrees. The moving water has carved its way into the surrounding rocks which make for a unique fall. There is a shallow pool at the base of the falls and it is not very big. Upstream, there are a couple smaller falls at approx 2-3 feet high that are worth a look.

Important Information – You cannot swim or jump at these falls. If the water level is high you could probably get a little wet in the base of the falls. This fall is very easy and short to get to. The trail to the fall is off loose dirt, gravel and rocky road called Pockwood Rd/Camptown Rd. A jeep or truck could drive you to just a short 400m walk to the fall. On the right-hand side of Pockwood Rd/Camptown Rd, you will reach a clearing, if you make it this far in your vehicle, park here. Continue downhill passed the clearing until you see a small bridge. There are 2 entrances to this fall. A path before the bridge and just after the bridge, both will be on your right. Both entrances lead you directly to the fall and are easy to navigate. The terrain is mostly a trafficked dirt path carved through the vegetation with little to no hills. Each entrance is approx a 300m walk to the fall. I would have to say the entrance after the bridge is harder than the one before the bridge. If you decide to park at the very beginning of Pockwood Rd/Camptown Rd you will end up walking approx 1-1.5kms to the trailhead on your right.
Directions – These falls are located just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia. If leaving from Halifax you take the Bedford Highway (Highway 2) until you reach Hammonds Plains Rd (Highway 213). Follow Hammonds Plains Rd until you reach a set of lights called English Corner. Turn right onto Pockwock Rd and follow this road until you come to Pockwood Rd also called Camptown Rd. It will be on your left, Pockwock Rd continues on to the right. It is not a signed or stoplight intersection so be aware and try not to miss the turn. When traveling straight down Pockwock Rd, Pockwood Rd/Camptown Rd will almost be as if you continue straight. It goes from paved to gravel and dirt when leaving Pockwock Rd onto Pockwood Rd/Camptown Rd.
