This is a set of 2 falls. The first fall is approx 35-40 feet high falling almost straight down. I would say it is about an 80-degree fall. The second fall is approx 15-20 feet high just above the first fall, falling straight down at a 90-degree angle. Each fall has a deep pool at its base. The second falls pool is much smaller and a lot harder to enter and get out of. Enjoy at your own risk. The first fall pool is large and has easy access. Be aware of your surroundings, despite how non-life threatening water snakes are, they are present here in the pool. I personally did not see one but someone I attended the falls with did.

Important Information – You can swim and jump at these falls. Do so at your own risk. To jump into the pool at the base of the second fall(the top) it is a very steep climb on loose material to the left hand side of the first fall. The pool is also not a very big target. Once in the pool at the base of the second fall, exiting can be tricky as you cannot just jump straight down the first fall(bottom fall). If you’re looking for spots to jump at the base of the first fall, there are a few on both sides. Always check the depth of the water before you do. If you decide you want to jump, climb carefully as getting to jumping spots on each side is not easy, requires using both your hands and feet in some places. The path to reach these falls starts on private property. If you plan to visit the falls, at least try to ask for permission from the property owner. The owner was not home when I visited but I did my due diligence. The path starts off the right-hand side of the owner’s property if facing the property from the road. Walk the edge of the grass and marsh area until you reach the end of the grass then turn left heading up the back of the lawn. After you turn left and start walking, you should see a lightly trafficked path being carved out through the marshes vegetation approx 25-30 feet from where you turned on your right. From here it is a well-established path to the falls. The path is approx 300ms in length. The path is very easy to navigate and is flat until you reach the falls and have to walk down towards the pool at the base of the first fall. This is not a steep incline but it is on loose material so walk slowly.
Directions – The entrance to the falls is on the right-hand side of the big white house that is propped up on a grassy knoll located at 1734 Newville Rd in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. The trailhead is located on the side of the property closest to Parrsboro. Newville Rd starts off as Beaver Dam Rd if traveling from Parrsboro. It turns into Newville Rd after the intersection with Prospect Rd. Beaver Dam Rd is off of Eastern Ave which is also named the Glooscap Trail or Highway 2. Park on the side of the road once you reach the house address.
